Handbook for Rigid PCB Design for Manufacturability

The goal of this handbook on Design for Manufacturability (DFM) is to help clients in developing printed circuit boards (PCBs) that can be produced rapidly and effectively. The recommendations set forth here explain different tolerances, rules, and testing methods used in PCB production.

It is advantageous, relative to pricing and productiveness, that problems are resolved early in the design phase as opposed to later during manufacturing. By publishing this handbook, Bittele desires to prevent the unfortunate situation where a customer has completely designed a PCB only to find out subsequently that he must rework the design due to manufacturability issues.
